A very warm welcome to Pear Tree Cottage, a quiet farm cottage 5 miles from the centre of York with easy access to the Yorkshire Moors.
The cottage is a comfortable, stylish three bedroom detached barn conversion with it's own garden and fruit trees. Situated a short drive along a quiet country lane, where you can take a walk along leafy lanes straight from your front door, just turn right out of the drive.

Stylishly decorated kitchen/dining area with separate utility room and large lounge. The cottage benefits from a ground floor bedroom arranged with either twin beds or a king size adjacent to a shower/wet room. Upstairs there is a twin bedroom, master bedroom and newly installed bathroom.


Just 15 minutes drive to the centre of York (regular bus service runs from the end of the lane). Castle Howard is 20 minutes drive...

Pear Tree Cottage is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The standard of fittings gives it a very luxurious feel. The cottage is extremely spacious and well equipped with everything you could possibly need.The setting is lovely with lots of fruit trees in the garden....More

A beautiful cottage, close to York with every possible amenity you could need. Friendly, helpful hosts and we loved our daily visits from the chickens. We will definitely be returning.

Great family friendly house. Couldn't ask for much more. The welcome pack of coffee, tea, eggs and chocolate cake was such a nice touch. Kids loves the hens trying to get in the house! location is perfect for exploring York and surrounding areas. We will...More

About the neighbourhood
Pear Tree Cottage is located just five miles from the city centre, yet tucked away along a country lane overlooking open countryside. There is a frequent bus service into York (5A) and just a 5 minute drive to Monks Cross and Vanguard shopping area with two large supermarkets and retail outlets (John Lewis, M&S, Next etc). There is easy access to the coast road, Castle Howard and Dalby Forrest.
Getting around
The no 5a runs from the bottom of our lane, about a 10 minute walk to the bus stop. This service runs frequently into York, passing York railway station. If you wish to drive into York there is a list of car parks in the cottage together with prices. Alternatively you can use the park and ride at Monks Cross. A taxi from the centre of York will cost around £12

Earswick is 5 miles north of York, just off the 1237 ring road. The No 5a bus runs past the end of our lane.
