This beautiful Victorian property has recently been subject to an outstanding refurbishment and provides the comfort and space to ensure you have an enjoyable holiday in the historic city of York.

Corner House extends over 4 floors with the large kitchen diner located on the lower ground level. The large, modern kitchen is fitted with high spec appliances including Nespresso coffee machine, induction hob, Neff Hide and Slide oven and Bosch dishwasher and washer dryer. The cupboards are well stocked with quality pans, crockery and glassware and a solid oak dining table sits at the heart of this large kitchen. There is also a casual seating area; a place to plan your day over a coffee or make meal preparation a more sociable occasion.

Hi, my name is Jo Ferris and I am one of the owners of Corner House. Although we work locally family ties and commitments mean that we live approximately 50 minutes away. What we love to do, however, is spend time in York with family and friends and Corner House is the ideal property to allow us to do that. Although we have stayed in many holiday lets over the years this is the first time that we have owned a holiday cottage ourselves and on starting out I have been very conscious of what we like to find when you first open the front door.

Corner House is a welcoming, well equipped and comfortable place to stay. Its very near to York being only 15 minute walk from the centre. The children were very impressed with the technology.Communications with the owner were always prompt. I would not hesitate to book...More

About the neighbourhood
It was the location of Corner House that first attracted us to the property, situated in a quiet residential area with the convenience of local supermarkets, pubs and delicatessens close by. Then a short walk along the river path brings you into busy city centre York with all the shops, bars, restaurants and tourist attractions that it has to offer.
Getting around
York is a city best explored on foot so park up the car and enjoy the beautiful walk along the banks of the ancient river Ouse into the city centre.
When visiting Corner House the whole of Yorkshire is on the doorstep with excellent transport links, including the 10 min interval Park and Ride bus stop on the main road at the end of the street. Visitors can easily get to the station, City centre or alternatively head out to the City's Designer Outlet.
For those vistors who have travelled to York from further a field by train and wish to explore the Yorkshire Countryside or Coast, daily car hire is also available just adjacent to the Park and Ride bus stop and bookable in advance before you travel.
