Holiday Rental House
Our five bedroom townhouse looks out on the River Thames and Greenwich and has amazing views up and down the river, especially at sunset. It is in zone two of London (there are six zones, one is the very centre) and close to the DLR (part of the tube network) so has very easy access into all of the sites in town (from The Tower of London and Tower Bridge to London Eye to Buckingham Palace) to and all the main railway stations. It is also very close to Masthouse Terrace boat stop, so you can travel into the city on the Thames Clipper commuter boat, which is the best way to travel in London. The house is over four floors and looks into the shared garden (where you can BBQ and the kids play together). The house is set up for families as we have three little girls (aged 4, 6 and 8). The ground level is the heart of the house; open plan kitchen with island breakfast bar, dining area and the lounge leading to a lovely courtyard. The first floor has a large second lounge / study with Sofa (that turns into a really comfortable sofa bed) TV and sound system (Sonos base and surround sound speakers) and a couple of desks. Large sliding doors lead onto the front balcony and views of the river (20 meters away) and the famous tourist attraction, Greenwich and great views of Curry Sark. There is a good sized bedroom on the first floor with single bed. If needed we can add an additional inflatable double bed here as well. Also there is the utility room with washing machine, tumble drier, sink and 3 heated drying racks. You can get to Greenwich in 5 minutes by walking under the river through the beautiful Victoria foot tunnel, with oak-panelled lifts at each end. The second floor has two more bedrooms and a family bathroom. The first bedroom is the largest and to the rear of the house has a adult sized bunk bed with lots of children's books and toys available if you need them. The other at the the front of the house has a king bed with en-suite shower room. There is also a family bathroom (bath with overhead shower and WC) between the bedrooms. The third floor is the master bedroom, covering the footprint of the whole house, with ensuite shower room. It has folding sliding doors facing East and West it has stunning views of Greenwich town directly across the river and Westwards towards central London. Recently installed modern shower room. There are two large balconies which is the perfect peaceful spot to enjoy the view.More

Brought the family to London for a few days to see the sights. This was a great base. Views over the river, kids loved waving at the riverboats going by. Very close to cool Victorian foot tunnel to Greenwich, the Cutty Sark museum is worth...More
