The owner lives in the same building, and when there will be available to meet you, show you round the apartment. If away, you will be met by a friend who also owns rental properties. You will be sent full instructions on the apartment, and the surrounding area by email prior to arrival. And this will include how to collect the keys (24 hours). Having lived in the area for over 30 years, the owner can suggest where to go, how to get there etc. The owner also has two rental villas in the Cape Verde Islands and has been a landlord of both holiday and full time rentals for nearly 40 years.

West Kensington is a vibrant residential area, and people choose it for its central location and reasonable prices. There are self service grocery stores (Waitrose, Tesco, Co-op) within 4 mins walk. Also a variety of reasonably priced restaurants (Italian, Indian, Vegetarian, Turkish), cafes, pubs, within 4-10 minutes walk. Hairdresser, dentist, dry cleaners, nail bar, hardware store within 4 mins. North End Road street market is within 5 minutes walk with all types of stalls, and many food/drink places. Nearest cinemas are at Fulham Broadway or Hammersmith.
Getting around
It's really quite simple from West Kensington. If you use the Piccadilly Line, or the District Line tube lines you can get to the houses of parliament, Westminster Abbey, Piccadilly Circus(shops, restaurants, Royal Academy of Arts), Shaftesbury Avenue (theatres), Covent Garden (opera), Leicester Square (opera, cinemas, National Gallery, St Martin in the Fields), Holborn (British Museum). Buses 391 to Richmond, 28 to High Street Kensington and Portobello Road market. 74 to Oxford Street. In the apartment you will find tourist guides, a map book, tube maps, bus maps, bicycle maps, to help you find your away around.

From Eurostar (Kings Cross) Piccadilly Line direct to Barons Court then 4 mins walk. From Piccadilly Circus, Piccadilly Line direct to Barons Court and 4 mins walk. Hammersmith Coach station is 10 mins walk or 1 tube stop away, and Victoria Coach station is on District Line to West Kensington then 4 mins walk. From British Museum take Piccadilly Line from Holborn direct to Barons Court then 4 mins walk.
