Morland House is a large manor house in the picturesque village of Morland, in the Eden Valley in Cumbria, sleeping 18 people in 9 bedrooms. The core of the house is 16th century, but it has been added to many times over the years. Originally a vicarage, it has been the home of the Markham family since 1828, when an ancestor was vicar of Morland church, and was purchased in 1871 when a new (smaller) vicarage was built elsewhere.

The house features oak-panelled main rooms, including a grand dining room for special dinners, a long drawing room seating 16 with a grand piano, an inner hall with a log-burning stove, plus a family kitchen, games room, snug, caterer's kitchen for parties, and more. How to get there
Railway: Penrith: 13.0 km
From the south, leave the M6 at Junction 39 (Shap), pass though Shap village and take the second turn right, signposted Morland. On entering Morland follow the road down the hill and the drive entrance is at the bottom of the hill on the left, opposite the Crown Inn.

From the north, leave the M6 at Junction 40 (Penrith), and take the A66 east for half a mile to the roundabout and then right on the A6 to Shap. Pass though Eamont Bridge and then take the second left, signposted Morland. After 4 miles, in Cliburn village, turn right to Morland and on entering the village follow the road down the hill. The drive entrance is at the bottom of the hill on the left.
