Our cottage hideaway is situated in a quiet residential area, very close to the centre of Cockermouth, and with the added benefit of a private parking space. We think it’s perfect for travellers, adventurers, a romantic getaway and those on business, with the option of a super-king bed. We love living in the Cockermouth area, for its amazing scenery, great walking and cycling, and for the town itself with a multitude of independent shops and restaurants. Our cottage is a real gem, with spiral staircase, wood burning stove, open plan kitchen-dining area, and super-king bed in the upstairs bedroom. The bathroom and toilet is situated on the ground floor. Guests have access to the entire cottage, and the town centre is only a minute’s walk from the front door. Please take care driving into this, and respect our neighbours parking spaces. The town has everything you need for an enjoyable stay including 2 large supermarkets (Sainsbury's and Aldi), 2 fantastic butchers, and many antique/curio/collectable shops for a leisurely browse. There are a wide range of cafes, restaurants and pubs all easily accessible from the cottage. No need to drive anywhere for meals! There is easy access to the beautiful NW Lake District area, including Buttermere with Haystacks for walkers (Wainwright's favourite fell), the C2C cycle route, Whinlatter Forest Park mountain biking, and the coast is only 8 miles away. Buses to Keswick, Penrith and the wider Lake District are only a minutes’ walk away on the town’s main street.More

Lovely cottage in a great location

Very well appointed cottage right in the town centre, but very quiet. Lovely furnishings and very comfortable. Highly recommend!
