Great cottage, fab location!! We did several walks from the front door which was great. We've even ended up buying the knife sharpener that was in the kitchen.

Cottage is to a very high standard with two large modern bathrooms. Very comfortable for our party of 6 adults. The location is also second to none, close to Ambleside restaurants and pubs but quiet at night. The Golden Rule pub is a 5 minute...More

How to get there
By car M6 J36 A591 to Kendal and past to Ambleside follow the one way system into Ambleside and follow signs to Grasmere.as you pass the shops and head to the main car park you come to a roundabout turn right up the hill to Kirkstone and Chapel Hill is on left past The Golden Rule pub.

By train there is a good service on the West Coast mainline service to Oxenholme, (Kendal) Here you can transfer to a train to Windermere and then catch the bus just outside the station to AmblesideIts then a five minute walk up past the Golden Rule pub to the cottage.
There is a good bus service in the area and you can spend the whole holiday without using the car.
