About the neighbourhood
Nestling just under the South Downs, Brighton is the perfect base from which to explore the beautiful Sussex coastline and countryside. The South Downs have been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and as a National Park provides a wealth of walking and cycling routes. Ditchling Beacon and Devil's Dyke are many peoples favourites; their dramatic scenery and views provide a good starting point for a hike or ride and the magnificent Seven Sisters chalk cliffs are only a short drive away or you may wish to travel by bus which is known as the 'cliff hanger'! There are several historic sites including castles, country houses, gardens and parks only a short hop from Brighton.
Getting around
The Marina provides the ideal base to explore Brighton and beyond. The marina offers many restaurants, bars and water activities as well as a multiplex cinema, Hollywood Bowl, David Lloyd Gym, Rendezvous Casino and children's activity area. The marina is located just a short distance from the city centre and can easily be reached by walking along the seafront or taking the number 7 bus which runs every 6 minutes daytime with the night bus running twice an hour throughout the night.
