Spent a good week at Island View which had good facilities. Very close to the shops, food outlets and restaurants and a quick walk to the beautiful sandy beach. Wonderful views. We only had to use the car a couple of times when we wanted...More

The apartment offers you the chance to enjoy all the charm and facilities of a little seaside town within a few minutes walk and when you're tired at the end of a lovely summer's day you can retire to your own apartment, relax and watch the world go by from the seclusion of your own home.

If you like, you can walk out for a meal in one of the many town's restaurants/pubs or venture further afield to a village inn or take the car ferry across the mouth of Poole Harbour to Bournemouth and Poole and take in a show/film and enjoy a late night meal afterwards.

Swanage is a busy little seaside town with a mile of safe and gentle shelving sandy beach old stone pier, a long, more recently built wooden pier, coastal footpath walks, caves, a country park, and many local shops, restaurants and pubs.

Ferry: Weymouth: 43.0 km
Swanage is easily accessible by road, train, bus, ferry or by flying!

Road : Main roads bring you directly to the south coast and Swanage via Wareham and Corfe Castle (who can be the first to spot the sea?) or via the car ferry at Sandbanks (Poole). Approx time from London - 3 hours.
Trains : Main line trains (South West train company) from London Waterloo to Wareham rail station - continue to Swanage by bus.

Bus: National Express coaches come into Bournemouth, Poole and through Wareham. Local bus services connect to bring you down to Swanage via some very pretty Dorset villages.
Ferry services from Europe operate via Weymouth (27 miles/43 km), Poole (20 miles/32 km) and Portsmouth ( a little further along the south coast at 60 miles/96 km)
