Fell View is a lovely, comfortable home from home in the pretty village of Gunnerside, in Swaledale, the most northerly of the Yorkshire Dales, postcode is DL11 6LE. The cottage is warm and well-equipped, with storage heaters and a multi-fuel stove in the living room (first basket of logs/coal included). The living room leads into a dining room, and then through to the kitchen (low lintel over door, take care), with electric cooker, microwave and dishwasher. There is also a downstairs cloakroom. Sorry, personal towels are not included. Free wifi. Thank-you for your comments. The housekeeper has had an extremely busy three months, so it's just not possible on every changeover to move all the furniture to clean underneath, nor wash bedside table covers. Obviously the owner will make sure this is all done in...More

About the neighbourhood
Swaledale is the most northerly (and beautiful) of the Yorkshire Dales. Outstanding scenery for hiking/walking, but also for just enjoying the view. The 2014 Tour de France came through Gunnerside, so it's ideal for keen cyclists. Many walks direct from the door.
Getting around
A car is easiest to explore, although there is a local bus service up the dale with the Little White Bus Company.
