Great place in great location

Soothing Soothpunds

The South Mainland of Shetland is marked by the people who have lived here for generations & rich in archaeological remains. Levenwick boasts a Broch & everywhere are the markings of old fields & ruined homes. Southpunds is a great place to base for exploring the surrounding areas & the rest of Shetland. Based on the East side, we experience beautiful sunrises & just over the hill on the West side stunning sunsets. During the months of April & May new life springs into action with the arrivals of many different breeds of lamb. The migrating birds return to the island to nest such as Puffins, Bonxie, Turks & many more, attracting nature lovers from all over the world. Getting around
Hiring a car is the only way of getting around the island conveniently. I have secure special rates for my customers booking through me with a local car rental company. There are bus services that run throughout Shetland but not the best for the sightseeing. There are a number of good tour companies for exploring the nature and birds Shetland has to offer. We can put you in touch with a renown tour operator who is about 15 minutes away from us.
