Condo/Apartment
New England is a charming self contained ground floor apartment in the pretty coastal village of Fairlight, which is halfway between Rye and Hastings. The apartment has been newly renovated throughout and offers two bedrooms and bathrooms plus large lounge/diner and fully equipped kitchen. The outside seating area is fully decked and looks out onto a delightful garden. Fairlight sits on edge of Hastings country park, with many fine walks and stunning sea views. We are a 5 minute drive to the beach, also the historic Royal Military canal which starts its journey in nearby Pett Level and finishes in Folkestone. There are two excellent pubs close by for eating, plus many good restaurants in Rye and Hastings....New England is a charming self contained ground floor apartment in the pretty coastal village of Fairlight, which is halfway between Rye and Hastings. About the neighbourhood
Fairlight is situated halfway between Hastings and Rye. The Old Town of Hastings is famous for its unique net huts and working fishing boats. Nearby are stalls selling freshly caught fish, winkles, cockles and shrimp. The Old Town has a wealth of quirky shops, pubs and restaurants tucked between two cliffs, both served by funicular railways. On reaching the top, as well as fabulous views, there’s access to the ruins of Hastings Castle and the Smugglers Adventure caves. Well worth a days visit. The ancient Cinque Port town of Rye with its narrow cobblestone streets is home to a myriad of art, curiosities and cosy pubs as well contemporary restaurants. Camber sands is a short drive away, as is Rye Harbour nature reserve.
Getting around
Fairlight is served by a regular bus service to Hastings and Rye.
