Nestling in 1066 country, about one mile of the beach, this single storey property is set in its own garden within the owner's grounds. Although only 35 yards from the village road, it feels miles from anywhere. There is an en-suite master bedroom, shower room, and welcoming living room leading to 9m x 3m non-slip decking overlooking the countryside. The Retreat is a great base for bird watchers, cyclists, golfers, nature lovers, walkers, and visiting the ancient towns of Rye, Battle and Hastings. You are within easy reach of Romney Marsh, Camber Sands and the continent via Ashford International train link. Shops/PO 200 yards, pub/restaurant 50 yards. Had a lovely time, Jac & Phil are the most excellant hosts, and the accomodation is very clean and comfortable. Has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay, and if it doesn't, I have no doubt that Phil would get it for you....More

The titlw says it all. This has been our 17th consecutive annual holiday in the Retreat and we have enjoyed them all with Phil being the perfect host. The cottage is comfortable with everything laid on, the location is secluded but not isolated. And so...More
