Overlooking the River Wear, this converted farm building is peacefully situated in Frosterley in Weardale with in an AONB.
The cottage makes a wonderful base to explore the surrounding area with its rugged upland, fertile valleys and historical landmarks. Weardale is very popular to both walkers and cyclists with its numerous paths and cycle ways.
The cottage sleeps four people comfortably and is ideal for families. The gardens and grounds are shared with other cottage users but there is ample space for everyone. The matured gardens have ponds (toddlers beware), decked patio areas, seating and a summerhouse ideal for a bit of quiet reading time. The gardens prove popular with children who often make use of the swings, trampoline, and games room which has a pool table, games, books, tv and wii console.

Fantastic accomodation, great location for access to he moors/dales, this is our 8th consecutive visit to the area and our 5th here; very highly recommended

Frosterley is a lovely little village located in lower Weardale. With in the village itself you will find :- the Black Bull which is a real ale pub that serves food. The Frosterley Inn a very friendly local pub where i am sure you will be made most welcome. Coop store ideal for everyday essentials and newspapers. It also has the post office in there. Fish and Chip Shop Play park and recreation ground. Weardale itself is in the North Pennines an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are an abundance of walks, cycle tracks etc around the area making it very popular for those who love the great outdoors. Easily reached attractions are Killhope Wheel Hamsterley Forest Beamish Durham cathedral Kynren Hall Hill Farm
