The Arundel Wing offers the perfect holiday right in the heart of Poldark country. Set in about 11 acres, Kenegie Manor is an exclusive 400 year old, Grade II Listed Tudor Manor, between vibrant Penzance and St Ives. Located on the 1st floor of the Georgian Wing this luxury apartment is decorated in a contemporary but comfortable style befitting the stature of the Manor. It has two great sized bedrooms, with the Master bedroom being en-suite, large lounge and dining area and separate, marble floored kitchen. Please note Wifi is only available in the Park's public spaces.
The Manor is ideal for a family holiday with an indoor heated pool, pitch and put and tennis courts, along with a small childrens' play area. The apartment is also the perfect based from which to explore the many delights of Cornwall. Situated in the pretty village of Gulval, 1.5 miles from Penzance and 6 miles from St. Ives and 10 minutes by car to the beach, making it the perfect base from which to explore beautiful West Cornwall with easy parking when you get back to relax and revisit your exciting day. The peaceful grounds surrounding the manor offer spectacular views of Penzance and the world famous St Michael's Mount.
With easy access to stunning beach walks, rock-pooling and lots of other free activities, the Manor is also ideally located for access to the County's stunning part of the national coastal path and for general walking amenity.
The closest beach is at Long Rock (10 minutes by car) and along Mounts Bay but of course Cornwall is famous for its many other vast sandy beaches such as Carbis Bay on the north coast a few miles away by car.
There is a Morrisons on the main road approach to Gulval, which has an excellent fresh, locally sourced fish counter and a 24 hour Tesco at the bottom of the hill in Gulval, about 4 minutes drive away, from the Manor.
Gulval is just a few hundred yards down the hill, and has a post office and limited general store. The local pub, the Coldstreamer Inn, opposite the church, is now one of the most popular restaurants in the area, serving an interesting menu based on local produce.
The property must be left as it is found, clean and tidy with the dishwasher emptied, and all stashed back in the cupboards. Noise levels must be reasonable and between the hours of 10pm and 8am, quiet so that other guests can also enjoy their holiday.
The customer service for this rental was excellent. Mary listened to our small complaints - slow drainage in the shower ensuite, and one of the washing machine programmes (intensive whites) caused water leak out of the drum. She said they would look into these issues...More
Four adults shared the Arundel Wing and all agreed it was a perfect venue. This beautiful 400-year-old manor house was spacious and had been tastefully refurbished. Also, being set in grounds with excellent parking was a real plus. I would thoroughly recommend the venue to...More

We really enjoyed our time in the Penzance area and in that wonderful apartment, where we found everything a family needs.

The world famous St Michael's Mount, is just 10 minutes by car together with Penzance, which is surrounded by outstanding natural beauty. Crystal clear waters and award winning beaches, ancient moorlands and sub-tropical plants, secluded coves and cliff top walks make this most westerly borough of Cornwall a true delight to visit. Penzance itself has a fascinating seafaring history which has now developed a vibrant cafe and restaurant culture. It also boasts one of the only outdoor Art Deco lidos, the Jubilee Pool. Land's End, and picturesque fishing villages of St Ives, Mousehole and Newlyn, are all close to explore. The Blue Flag acclaimed beaches of Sennen and Gwithian, Hayle are both also within a short distance of the Manor.
Last year saw Cornwall, once again, fight off the competition from across the UK to be crowned Best UK Holiday County or Region; in the British Travel Awards, widely known as the Oscars; of the travel industry. Cornwall is well known for its micro climate; resulting from its close proximity to the Gulf Stream and because it is is effectively a peninsula. So, when the forecast in England is poor it is often lovely weather in Cornwall, and even when it has soft Cornish weather (missling rain), it soon passes and the sun comes out.
