The area is full of pleasant surprises. An almost untouched landscape unveils wherever one decides to glance. One can imagine and re-live prehistoric times through the many cave sites and museums that put in value Dordogne's assets. The very famous Lascaux is less than an hours drive.
You can find a variety of activities catered to all tastes. The Floralis plant and flower show in May in St. Jean de Cole for example is one of the best kept secrets for visiting outside the summer season.
For food and wine lovers, this is culinary paradise!
Getting around
A car is needed in order to benefit from all the sights the area has to offer. Train transportation makes it easy to get here from major cities like Paris or Bordeaux. If you choose to stay here without a car we can pick you up at the Thiviers train station for no extra cost. If you come by plane to Limoges, we can arrange a pick up if needed at an extra cost.
