Luxurious, Breezy, Comfy and Beachy Perfection!!

I travel ALOT for work and for fun, and have stayed in too many hotels, airbnb's and trip advisor lodgings than I can count. Sonny's properties are by far the best of them all. Location: Right smack on the beach with the waves outside your door. Surrounded by almond trees that give soft, dapples of shade in tropical sunlight, making everything sparkle kind of. Also framing the property are tamarind and mango trees that the squirrels and howler monkeys go crazy for! Next door (just a short walk down the beach) are two lovely restaurants, one on the beach and the other at the top of a HUGE hill that provides an incredible view of the ocean at all times but especially during sunset. More restaurants, bars, super markets are all also within a short driving distance and the hopping party town of Tamarindo is only 30-45 minutes away via car or bus. The cabina itself: newly built by Sonny, his wife and their family. With a high, long balcony with beautiful clean tiles, several comfy benches and tables for sitting and enjoying the view. Inside the cabina is a HUGE comfy bed with a frame built by Sonny and Rita themselves, and their beautiful custom headboards. There are screens on all the windows and glass as well that slides open to let the breeze sweep through (while keeping out the mosquitoes). The kitchen is appointed with all new appliances and everything you need to cook with. The bathroom has the coolest shower, with beautiful tiles and hangers for your towels. The cabina is full of thoughtful little touches such as the raised bed so you can slide your luggage underneath to save space, little door stoppers so you can leave the front and back doors open to let the breeze through and hooks for your clothes, towels, or purse. Really is the perfect place to stay, best in Costa Rica.

Right on the beach - amazing sunsets!

We stayed in the brand new cabinas -- very nice! They are right ON the beach! The waves will put you into a deep sleep at night. We did some snorkeling and wading out front of the cabina. The "yard"/beach is set up with hammocks, chairs, and a fire pit. Sonny and Rita are great hosts. They were always around to ask questions of. There's a very good restaurant within walking distance up the beach. We rented a car -- it is easy to get to. Plus you are not too far from other nice beaches and fantastic restaurants that you should explore.

About the neighbourhood

Our Beach/Playa is located off the tourist beaten traffic flow to experience & enjoy an authentic Costa Rica ! We do have plenty of restaurants & Tours nearby plus a full grocery store. Us & surrounding area is safe to walk by beach or back roads anytime day or night. Though if your looking to be in a tourist traffic jam, Tamarindo is only a 30 minute drive from us. We have taxi services and local bus services if not renting a vehicle. Nearby restaurants, grocery store,outdoor tours and more. No ATM's or gasoline stations:). Close by 30 min drive, tell ya when you're here:)
