Hampton village is ideally located to access the rugby at Twickenham and other local attractions, with a direct train service to Waterloo (40 mins). Just one minute's walk from Hampton station, with a 12-minute ride to Twickenham station and Richmond, Kew & Wimbledon all easily accessible by train.

The 111 bus (24hr) comes straight from Heathrow airport to Hampton station and the 216 stops here too: both are a short ride to Hampton Court and Kingston. Routes R70, R68 and 290 all go to Twickenham and Richmond from nearby.

Since this is my home, I'll usually be on hand to greet you and to show you around the facilities. I'll give you keys to come and go as you please and you can interact with me as much or as little as you like. Of course, if you just want to chill in your room, put up your feet and watch TV, then you're welcome to do so. I want you to feel at home.

I'll give you my mobile/WhatsApp/email contact details and that way you can be assured of being able to get hold of me, should you need anything.

I also provide a comprehensive house guide for you and instruction manuals for all appliances. There are also a number of guide books, A-Z and tourism leaflets to help you. Of course, you can always ask me for recommendations too.

We enjoyed a very comfortable night and we are staying again now for a further 9 nights. Sue is really nice and we were very happy. The house is only about 3 mins walk from the railway station and bus stops.

Sue was friendly and welcoming. Great bonus to have use of living room and kitchen. Short walk to train station and parking on road nearby. Would certainly stay with Sue again.

Lovely room in an interesting cottage located in the older part of Hampton. The owner, Sue, is relaxed and friendly and we had our own key to come and go as we pleased. The bed was comfy and everywhere was spotless. Although breakfast wasn't included you could help yourself to cereals and as much tea and coffee as you wanted....

About the neighbourhood
Hampton feels like a real community: people talk to each other. This place gives you a flavour of how London once was - as one of a collection of distinct villages that gradually joined to become the metropolis that is London. Hampton and Hampton Hill have retained a local feel, with independent shops and restaurants, not yet subsumed by the corporate chains that render one high street indistinguishable from another.

Aside from easy access to central London (40 minutes direct train service), Hampton also benefits from lovely open spaces, with Bushy Park (the 2nd largest of London's royal parks) and Hampton Court Park on your doorstep.

It's a great spot for cyclists and it's possible to cycle from here to Putney and Roehampton via the banks of the River Thames and Bushy...

The train station (Shepperton line) and bus stops couldn't be more convenient: just a 1-minute walk away. It takes 40 minutes to Waterloo (direct by train). We are served by the 216 bus route and by a 24hr bus route (111) between Heathrow (via the Piccadilly Line at Hounslow East) and Kingston (where it intersects with other night bus routes to and from other parts of London).

For those with cars, there is free on-street parking and the house is ideally situated for access to the M3 (5 mins), the M25 (15 mins), Heathrow (25-45 mins) and the A316 (5 mins) to central London.
