Malcolm really was the perfect host- nothing was too much to ask for. The gites itself was charming and had all you’d need. The garden was large with a trampoline, slide, swings, football. The children just played there as long as they could. You need a car to be able to explore the area. There’s an Aldi, intermarche and Lidl not too far. The fridge freezer is a large LG one which was perfect for our large family.
Thank you Malcolm for a perfect stay!

Perfect!
This place was perfect for us. We were going to a wedding down the road so the location was great.
Malcom was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for the week.
Unexpectedly this place was great for our 1 year old. He had toys for him to play with and therr was a stair gate. Great outside space for eating breakfast.
Malcolm was a great host and very friendly.so friendly that he joined us for a glass of wine.
I highly recommend this lovely gite!

Had everything we needed and more...
A great place to stay and an ideal base to visit all the surrounding pretty villages. The garden is HUGE and the pool was a favourite for the kids. Lots of toys and inflatables for children, as well as trampoline, swing etc in the garden. The house was lovely. Again, bigger than expected, with a really nice eating area outside. It is in a very quiet, rural location. Perfect if you want to get away from it all :)

Ideal base for a look round the Dordogne
We came out for a wedding and decided on La Porcherie - great decision!
We loved the cosy layout and found the amenities inside the gite to be excellent. Everything was very clean and we found it to be ideal for our needs. decent size kitchen, with everything you need, cosy wee lounge and the dining room is nice and airy.
There is a lovely pool area and other activities. We particularly loved the boules pit and played several nights!
We loved the .................. silence and often commented on how peaceful it was.
Malcolm and Jaqui are a very friendly and helpful couple who are keen to help you to enjoy your stay. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending La Porcherie to family and friends and also for us to stay again.

A lovely place to stay
A large house set in a small hamlet. The pool was great for the kids to burn off some energy. Ask Malcolm for some bikes and explore the local villages & cafes. Nearby towns had plenty of shops for supplies. A short drive took us to river beaches, lakes, churches built into caverns, crazy golf, kayaking. Alternatively, with a TV, Wi-Fi and a great kitchen there was plenty of facilities if you wanted to stay in the shade.

Very well equipped, comfortable and stylish holiday let in beautiful surroundings
We had a fantastic holiday here with our two children (age 6 and 9) - the house was really comfortable and stylish with a great big garden for the kids to run around in. We had beautiful sunny weather so the swimming pool was wonderful (with lockable gate) and a great way to cool down after a day out. Jaqui and Malcolm are on hand for any queries and have detailed knowledge of the surrounding area and local amenities. There is lots to do in the surrounding area including a river beach very near by and opportunities for kayaking and swimming. IThere are villages near by for evenings and lunches out. I would highly recommend this holiday.
