Situated at the end of a long gravel drive about 200 metres from a quiet country lane, the barn occupies a quiet corner of a 30-acre estate and provides first-class accommodation in a truly beautiful and tranquil Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in East Sussex. Bodiam Castle is less than 2kms walk away and there are loads of interesting gardens and houses to visit in the area including famous Sissinghurst Castle, Scotney Castle, Batemans, Pashley Manor and Great Dixter (all are within 20-minutes drive). There are dozens of glorious walks in the immediate area and individual guides to all of these are provided. The beautiful seaside town of Rye is 20 minutes away by car as is the glorious sandy beach at Camber. Lovely quiet setting within reach of lots of gardens and historic places. Good walking all around. Well equipped and, as said before, amazingly large for 2 people . Large characterful lounge and big kitchen diner. Small outside space but lovely views. Would certainly return. Only...More

Lovely quiet setting in superb countryside. Luxuriously appointed and amazingly large for a couple. Good walking to historic sights and glorious gardens

We're located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Ewhurst Green is an exceptionally pretty and quiet village with a great pub and 13th century church. It's about one-and-a-half kilometres away and is easily reachable on foot down a quiet country lane. Walking in the gently undulating countryside is probably the most popular recreational activity. 13th century Bodiam Castle is less than a mile away and is easily reachable by either road or footpath. Other National Trust properties in the area include Bateman's (Rudyard Kipling's home), which is 20 mins away by car; Sissinghurst Castle (15mins) and Scotney Castle (20 mins).
