About the neighbourhood
The area is pretty with its green, rolling countryside, large forests, huge lake (Guerledan lake) and the Nantes-Brest canal. The road system is superb, with easy access to both the north and south coast about an hour away. It isnt a tourist area, so the area doesnt seem to get overcrowded in summer, There is a lovely sunday market at bon repos. The bar has music playing, it is lovely sat on the terrrace in the sunshine, and the food is nice and not expensive. With the view over to the Abbaye, the setting is perfect! although there are more outdoor events in July and August. Music is always around, any excuse to sing and dan... more
