The apartment is on the top floor of an attractive block built on Shoreham Beach in 2000. It sits on the south bank of the River Adur which links into Shoreham Harbour. Occasional coastal vessels visit the working quay opposite, and local sailing and other pleasure craft or those visiting from other UK or European ports, pass up and down the river below, adding constant interest to the vista.

The apartment has long-distance views over Shoreham to the South Downs and, to the south, the sea.

Within a few minutes walk of the apartment there are good local shops, cafes, a bakery and the beach - which is a designated nature reserve. About 15 minutes walk away via the pedestrian bridge over the River Adur, Shoreham town has excellent shops, pubs and a wide selection of restaurants. About the neighbourhood
We purchased the apartment for our own use (and still use it regularly) because we love the area so much. Wonderful walks can be enjoyed along the beach, up the river, or over the Downs directly from the apartment, and with short journeys by train or car you can be savouring the buzz of Brighton or the delights of Arundel or Chichester.

Sussex is littered with magnificent Houses and Gardens and attractions open to the public including Arundel Castle, Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, Parham House, Wakehurst Place (Kew & NT), Sheffield Park, (NT), Borde Hill Gardens, Leonardslee Gardens and Petworth Park (NT). There are excellent transport services available. A local bus stops 300 yards from the apartment and regular buses and trains run from the town a 15 minute walk away.

Ferry: Portsmouth: 71.0 km
Shoreham lies midway between Brighton and Worthing.
By Road: The A27 runs immediately north of the town and links directly to the A23 London to Brighton road, and the A24 London to Worthing road. Both these connect to the M25 which provide access to the whole UK road system, the ferry ports, and Gatwick and Heathrow airports.
By Rail: Frequent, fast train services operate between Shoreham station, Brighton, Gatwick, Clapham Junction and London Victoria, giving excellent access to the UK rail network.
Local buses stop close to the apartment, the 700 Coastal bus runs between Brighton, Arundel and Portsmouth, and there are plenty of taxis available from the station.
