As you arrive at Tauroa Station, the entrance itself is a magical experience - drive up the gravel road with old oak trees lined on both sides of the driveway. Take it slowly to soak up in the glory of watching the mighty Te Mata Peak, rolling hills and lush pastures on to your right. On your left there are breathtaking views of the Tuki Tuki river, winding its way through the valley. Arriving at the Main House: The Main House is a classic example of architectural ‘kiwi’ style cottage, 1946. It is the perfect living room set up for those endless, fun conversations you always wanted to have with your family and friends. The living room also has a large, eight-seater dining table for lovely meals during your stay. In the kitchen: we might call it a farm cottage but the kitchen space is a well-equipped space and a paradise to those who enjoy cooking. Pour a glass of wine and enjoy making that meal to your loved ones with fresh, organic vegetables and fruits from the garden (you can purchase from the farm garden). 100% food happiness guaranteed! The Bedrooms: Be it a poolside, private balcony access into the woods, stunning views, a large bookshelf, each bedroom has its own character and charm. The master bedroom with en-suite is a classy white and green themed room with less walls and more of the floor to ceiling French windows designed to enjoy the spectacular view of Te Mata Peak. The poolside bedroom with a queen bed is for someone who would take a plunge into the water without a second thought. In addition for someone who is really into books and coffee. This room has easy access to the pool’s changing room. The other two bedrooms are in the centre of the house and are double occupancy rooms with easy access to the shared bathroom and flower garden, perfect for kids and teenagers especially! The sleep out bedroom and the love shack are just outside teh main house a few paces away. The sleep out is an outdoor bedroom with en-suite and has a private balcony at the edge of the woods. Lastly, the Love Shack is a private and calm room with a double bed and suits someone who likes some personal time and perhaps naps. Do check out Facilities & Features column for more details. Have a happy stay at Tauroa. Enjoying this beautiful property!More

The location is amazing - the beautiful Te Mata Peak is right there and it was so nice to see sheep and cattle in the pastures, picked up some fruits from the garden and it's also an organic farm. If you are here in the...More
