With magnificent views towards the Grange and across the Park, this property is a relaxing family retreat, sleeping up to 4 adults and 1 child. Interiorly designed by Fifi Leuchars with soft furnishing by Kate Forman Designs, it comprises 2 double bedrooms(1 king, 1 twin and an additional z-bed) bathroom, shower room and a cosy kitchen and sitting room with log burning stove. Wonderful location and high-quality accommodation. Very peaceful parkland atmosphere with friendly and helpful advice when needed. From here, forays into Hampshire and further afield are easy as connections are good. Alresford is nearby with an excellent range of shops and there are lots of local...More

The most wonderful place to stay, and we will be back. Unmade roads so be prepared for a slightly bumpy ride ... but worth it.

About the neighbourhood
The Estate contains several miles of chalk stream running through attractive watermeadows and woods, as well as two ornamental lakes set in the park. This habitat supports an abundance of important flora and fauna. It is designated environmentally significant under UK and European law, forming part of the Upper Itchen Special Area of Conservation under the latter.
The Candover Brook and Itchen provide excellent dry fly fishing for brown trout and grayling and some of the Estate’s water is leased to the Piscatorial Society, a long established fishing club. The Estate is also home to a pheasant shoot, which lets a number of days commercially each year. Head out of the town via Broad Street/B3046. Follow brown English Heritage signs for “The Grange”. Continue through Old Alresford and up to Abbotstone Down. Turn left – still following brown signs – into Grange Park towards the mansion house. If metal gates are closed, key in 12389Enter. Do not turn left at avenue of trees towards the mansion house – continue up the drive. Take next left, where you will see old stables on your left (see image below). Follow road past stables and turn immediately left under archway into stables
