Interaction with guests
Although we are not based in the village we can be contacted any time with queries/issues. We have family locally so there will always be someone at hand in an emergency. We are happy to suggest outings, walks, cycle routes but there is ample information at the cottage.

About the neighbourhood
The Slieve Blooms form a natural link between Offaly and Laois the cross-roads of Ireland. Kinnitty is a 30 minute drive from the M7 Dublin/Limerick motorway, a 90 minute drive from both Dublin and Galway and the magnificent heritage town of Birr is just ten minutes away. Kinnitty is the perfect base to explore the unspoilt natural beauty of the gentle rolling hills that make up the Slieve Blooms and the magical wonders of the Irish midlands. It is a walker & cyclists paradise.
How to get there
Our cottage is ideally located approx. 79 miles from Dublin Airport & Dublin Port. The easiest route is via the M4/M6/N52/R421 which takes you right into the village. The house is 2.5km from the village centre. We are 17 miles from the nearest train station in Tullamore making day trips to Galway/Dublin very easy. Although there are no public buses in the village there are several reliable taxi firms who we are happy to recommend.
