Spent a week at Casa Quetzal. It is on a quiet street about 5 easy blocks from Cathedral Santo Domingo. Clean rooms. Friendly, helpful bilingual owners. Healthy and tasty breakfast of fruit, granola and yogurt. WiFi. A good stay.

About the neighbourhood
Our house is centrally located, right across the street from a yoga studio and just down the hill from some beautiful trails for running or walking, if you like exercise. It's also around the corner from a traditional Oaxacan market, and within walking distance of the main sights in the center of the city (5-10 minutes walk).
Getting around
There is parking available, and the major bus routes are one street away. We recommend taking a taxi to and from the airport, and otherwise walking, biking, or busing around the city.
Car not needed
How to get there
From the airport, we recommend that you take a group taxi (which you can pay for inside the airport close to the exit door). You can give our address written down, or if you're confident in your Spanish skills you can tell them:
Callejón del Carmen 103, entre Tinoco y Palacios y Crespo, en frente del Mercado Sanchez-Pascua.

From the bus terminal you can take a private taxi, or if you're feeling adventurous you could walk. The directions to the house are:
Callejón del Carmen 103, entre Tinoco y Palacios y Crespo, en frente del Mercado Sanchez-Pascua.

Casa Quetzal is painted brick red and it's directly across from the Prana Yoga Studio.
