Guanajuato, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast
Casa de La Paz consists of two levels Planta Baja y Planta Alta each level is an independent home.
They can be rented separately or together to accommodate larger parties. (Las dos planta se rentan separadas con tarifas para cada planta separadas. Las tarifas son la misma cantidad para cada planta).

The homes are situated in the Paseo de La Presa neighborhood which is one of the most desirable areas to live in Guanajuato. The homes are located on one of the hundreds of callejones in Guanajuato, and yes you have to climb some stairs. However why come to Guanajuato if you don't expect to climb stairs. That is part of the magic of this beautiful city, and what better way to immerse yourself in real callejon living while you are here. You can strike up conversations, exchange greetings with the neighbors, but know you have a very...

Apartment was great for us; two couples. Beautiful and well decorated. All amentities were available. Jorge Z coordinated from a distance. The local people, Juan Flores and his wife were very helpful. We were driving and got a bit lost, but all was well eventually, after an unexpected tour of the underground tunnels. The only challenge was the stairs that...

Management response:

Mr. K thank you for taking the time to write the review for us. Yes the stairs are a bit challenging however it makes the experience of what Guanajuato is truly known for all the more memorable. Aside from all the beautiful homes, restaurants, and sites to see the callejones and their stairs brings the whole experience of this city...

Jorge is a great host but also respects your privacy. The apartment is a real home for your stay in Guanajuato. It is a quiet haven, generously furnished and superbly comfortable. You could not beat the location if you want to avoid staying in Centro. With all the enticing food it is good to stretch your legs on the 1km...

Management response:

First of all it was a pleasure meeting both you and having you over for our get together, and party. Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your stay as it helps us tremendously in improving things that need improving, and enjoying reviews from guests like you that have enjoyed not only our home, but the...

When we saw this apartment and read about its location we were enthralled and excited about staying there. The owner Jorge Z was quick to respond to questions and make us feel confident. The apartment is one of the most complete and certainly the most beautiful we have seen. There are three apartments on top of each other. The top...

Management response:

We appreciate you taking the time to write this review. I mentioned to you previously that it helps us improve our services. The stairs are mentioned in our details of our homes, but there is so much to read it can easily be overlooked. My neighbor and I added the railing at our own expense for the use by our...

About the neighbourhood
Casa de La Paz Planta Baja is located on Callejon Zaragosa in the Presa neighborhood. Very secure, well lit area with many things to do close by. The home is located in a little side callejon kind of like a cul-de-sac with only four homes tucked away in a very private area. You can walk up to Presa lake, and walk through the beautiful Florencio Antonillo park on your way to Presa lake. You can go right past Presa lake and hike up the Picachos mountains if you so wish. You can walk towards downtown to Centro, and walk through Embajadoras, then on through the cobblestone streets to Centro. Buses can pick you up at the bottom of Callejon Zaragosa, and will travel all the way through downtown, and up to the Mercado Hidalgo if you wish to go there . You can get of the bus at any point of... more
