This is a recently refurbished upper flat in a quiet residential street in Uphall, West Lothian. The property is accessed by one flight of external stairs.

The property is excellently situated for a Scottish holiday in the central belt. Edinburgh is approx. 20mins drive from Uphall. Glasgow is approx. 40 mins. drive from Uphall. The historic town of Linlithgow is approx. 15 mins. drive from Uphall. If you want the countryside the Trossachs with Loch Lomond are 1 hr 10 mins. and the Cairngorms 2.5 hrs. The border towns are about 1 hrs drive.

Lovely apartment, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Fantastic location to explore Edinburgh, Glasgow and all the other attractions in the area. Really enjoyed my stay and am sure we will return in the future. Thank you Grace and Kevin.

Returning to the area from Adelaide as a visitor and showing my granddaughter for the first time the region where her mum was born and brought up was wonderful. It was made all the more pleasant because the 'Getaway' is a wonderful place to stay. The attention to detail that Grace and Kevin put in to make our stay pleasant...

This is one to book, the accommodation was exellent and everything was there when we arrived, even down to milk in the fridge that was a nice surprise. The bedrooms where to a high standard as was all of the accommodation. Grace & Kevin have done a fantastic job with this one, even down to there communication, letter on arrival...

About the neighbourhood
West Lothian is an ideal base for any holiday in the central belt of Scotland. The county has a mixture of rural and urban locations.
There is something for all the family within easy reach of the property. There are ample leisure facilities nearby and lots of shopping areas. Golf courses and fishing facilities are also very close by. The national equestrian centre is within 1 mile of the property.
Many of the big Scottish cities are within very easy reach of Uphall. This allows the visitor easy access to Theatre, Museums, galleries and all that a large city has to offer, without having to pay the big city prices for accommodation. West Lothian also boasts some fine country parks and plenty of walking opportunities for all levels.

Getting around
The property is very close to the main bus route into Edinburgh. Buses run approx. every 20 minutes into Edinburgh or Livingston. There is also a direct bus to Edinburgh Airport. This runs hourly from Uphall.

It takes approx 15-20 minutes to walk to Uphall train station. This provides direct trains to Edinburgh and Glasgow. Children under 16 travel free with accompanied adults.
