Over all a decent cottage
Seascape is over all a very nice place to stay. This cottage is obviously looked after by a cleaning company , not the owner. It's the little things No kitchen paper No condiments in the cupboard No hand soap No toilet cleaner Candle lighters for fire and stove , both out of lighter fluid ,and no top up canister. The heating system is preset with a phone number for advice if not to your liking. That's fine if you are out all day but some people are not. The kitchen stove is great range cooker, but not enough dishes trays casserole dishes to take advantage of it. May be the owner will take some of this on board . Then your ratings will go up.

In need of some tweaks
Amble is great for walking the dogs, and the cottage was only a couple of minutes away from the beach which is great. However, we were disappointed to find no downstairs loo as advertised at the time we booked - a bit awkward with 5 people. The mattress was very uncomfortable on the double bed in the main front bedroom, and nets are needed at all the main windows to offer a bit of privacy, plus a blind in the bathroom. The bathroom could also benefit from some hooks to hang clothes/towels, and a shelf over the bath, or an endtable, just to put toiletries, as there is currently nowhere to put anything when you use the bath. Apart from this, the house was warm and spacious and in a great location for exploring Northumbria. We would possibly visit again if these things were addressed.

Wonderful home from home.
We have just got home from a wonderful stay at this amazing place. Two adults, one child and one dog. Amble is a beautiful area with fantastic amenities for all of your needs. Amazing chip shops are near and bistros galore in the center of Amble. The accommodation itself is fantastic , clean , spacious and the bathroom (wow!) Rolltop bath , rainforest shower that is hot and revitalizing. Sky TV with sky sports is provided with very fast wifi broadband so on those rainy days you are still entertained. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is a good size with all the required equipment and I had no trouble with a leaking washing machine or broken toilet as mentioned by the previous reviewer. The place was spotless with no dog smell at all and the log burner stove is fantastic on colder days. The location of the cottage is right by the sea with great views and a lovely green to the front with a very nice kids park. I have stopped in both of the Lerner's properties now and thoroughly enjoyed our stay ! I would highly recommend this place to stay whilst in Northumberland. I have included some of the views you will sea whilst stopping here.

So disappointed.
Good location and Amble is wonderful but I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone. We arrived to a broken toilet, leaking sink and a washing machine that flooded all over the floor... the owner was aware of these problems before we arrived ... not good enough

Thank you for your feedback I am sorry to hear that there were issues at the property; these were caused by the macerator. The owner has now replaced the macerator 3 times in 18 months, this is caused by misuse by guests despite notifications of what can be flushed. This has now been resolved once more. I apologise that we did not call back, we believed the issue was being resolved as the plumber was coming out when you had spoken with us and no further call was made to advise no-one had turned up. I can appreciate you were disappointed and I am very sorry for this, with a little more communication I am sure we would have addressed the issues more promptly. Kind regards, Becki at Sykes Cottages.

Wonderful
Just home after a glorious week in Amble, staying at Seascape. 6 of us plus the dog all fitted in well in this delightful cottage. Comfortable, clean, well equipped, everything you need to enjoy your break. Amble and surrounding area is just great and we were blessed with fantastic weather. All in all a wonderful holiday - highly recommended.

Relaxation.
My sister and I and two small dogs stayed here. It is a great location. Over the green to a little rocky beach. Everything is so near at hand, in Amble, and the people are so welcoming. The house is perfect, and I lit the wood burning stove. There is a swimming pool, on the caravan park, and a restaurant. The bus goes to Newcastle. Car boot sale, on a Saturday, and a food market, on a Sunday, on the harbour side. Loads of fish and chip shops, and cafes and restaurants. Tesco, Coop, and Heron Foods, for groceries. This house is so popular, that we could not get in, this year, but we are going to their smaller property, in Amble, instead. I cannot wait to return to the area.

Fabulous place to stay!
Spent the most wonderful week in Amble, staying in Seascape. This truly was a home from home. It’s spacious, spotlessly clean and has everything you need. The views from the lounge and 2 bedrooms across the sea to Coquet Island are spectacular. Location couldn’t be better, just a short walk to the fabulous beach, the harbour side or into town. Amble itself (and the surrounding areas) are great, everywhere is so dog friendly, our boy was welcome wherever we went. This was our 3rd visit to Amble and definitely won’t be our last, can’t wait to return to Seascape soon!
