Interaction with guests
I can usually be contacted by phone or email. I am happy to provide further information about the cottage and the local area. I have a lovely new housekeeper who lives locally as well as a gardener/maintenance man who can help when things go wrong. Their contact details are available on the guest information sheet. There is a welcome pack containing milk, butter, coffee, tea and bread/cake from the local bakery.

Thank you so much for your kind review. The property is located off the main road but I will get some lighting for the end of the driveway.

The location and surroundings of the cottage were idyllic. The communication from Nicky was quick and informative....More

About the neighbourhood
Pont Arenig is on the edge of a delightful, friendly village. There are fields around the property and spectacular mountain views. However, the shop and pub are only a five minute walk. The shop sells everything you need for your stay, from fresh chicken korma to a bicycle repair kit! If you want a cosy bar and restaurant then Ellen's Castle Hotel, a ten minute walk, is open to non-residents.
Getting around
Tired of driving? the train station in the village is served by the famous Conwy Line and connects with the Ffestiniogg Steam Railway then on to Porthmadog for the Welsh Highland Railway and Cambrian Coastal line. In season, the Snowdonia Sherpa bus service makes A to B walks possible and resolves parking problems.
