About the neighbourhood
Llanrhian sits on the beautiful North Pembrokeshire coast approx 1mile inland from Porthgain. The coastline is dotted with beautiful beaches and small harbours nestled in the lush green river valleys. Walkers will love the Pembrokeshire coastal path, and wildlife enthusiasts can enjoy bird/seal/whale watching boat trips around Ramsey Island or further afield. The more adventurous are well served with a number of companies (most based in St David's) running organised surfing, kitesurfing, SUP, climbing, kayaking, coasteering activities at local beaches/venues. The Blue Lagoon, just 5mins drive away at Aberieddy is a regular stop on the Red Bull World Cliff Diving Series and very popular with coasteering groups.
Getting around
On foot - Whilst a car is useful for exploring further afield there's plenty on the doorstep accessible on foot. The nearest beach, Traeth Llyfn is a 20minute walk. Porthgain approx 15mins via the track to Felindre + footpath across the fields. Bus - The Strumble Shuttle runs between St David's and Fishguard, stopping at multiple popular locations along the way. Bike - route 4 of the national cycle network between St David's and Fishguard runs through Llanrhian. The B road between Llanrhian and St David's is predominantly flat and ideal for cycling. You can cycle to the beach at Traeth Llyfn and follow the coast path round to Porthgain, then back to Llanrhian via the lane.
