2 Bryn Chwilog is a self catering holiday cottage one and a half miles above Aberdaron in Uwchmynydd on the road to Mynydd Mawr. Step out of your front door, relax and sit on a bench; drink in the patchwork of undulating green fields, the land dipping to reveal the sea sparkling in the distance. The cottage lies on the North Wales coastal path, at the tip of the Llyn Peninsula, and is a great place to escape. The land used by the cottage is beyond the car parking area on the hill behind: near our our Lodge; approximately 100yds walk. This land is a great place to light a barbecue, put up a deck chair, read a book, and later in the evening watch the sun go down. On a clear night you can see over the Irish Sea to the Wicklow Hills, just south of Dublin. The cottage includes 2 bedrooms, one ground floor bathroom with shower over the bath, the well equipped Kitchen and a spacious living room / dining room with an open coal fire. Due to the original characteristics of this mid terrace 19c stone built 'Crog Loft Cottage', a short steep carpeted staircase ( with a rope handrail ) rises from the centre of the living / Dining room, which leads to the first bedroom and arrives with the stairwell at the foot of the bed. This first bedroom is partially open to the Living room. A classic Welsh tongue and groove wooden wall partition with a latched door leads to the 2nd Bedroom. Crog Lofts have low sloping ceilings with minimal headheight, i.e. 6 ft at the apex.The beds are King size, that un zip to become singles. More

Despite the horrible weather, we have been really happy in this lovely cottage. It's cosy and quirky and full of everything you need. The bed is large and comfortable. We just laughed about the stairs and the rope bannister. We loved having Charlie with us...More
