About the neighbourhood
This is a well-off part of Grand Cayman between Boggy Sand Road and West Bay Road. This neighbourhood is very safe and is known locally as the best part of Seven Mile Beach. The beach is quiet and isn't used by the cruise ship crowds. The marine park right off the coast makes this part of Seven Mile ideal for snorkeling and paddleboarding. If you prefer home-cooked meals, Fosters IGA grocery store is three doors down the street and is a good source of fruit, meats, and vegetables. Right next to it is a brand new liquor store. If you prefer to dine out, Grand Cayman has some of the finest restaurants in the region, just 5-10 minutes away.
Getting around
The property is located on a bus route that runs along the Seven Mile corridor, with frequent, fast, and inexpensive bus service. These can get you anywhere you would want to go along the Seven Mile Beach at $3 USD per trip. You will want to rent a car for at least a portion of your trip, and allocate a few days to venturing out, sightseeing, visiting Rum Point, Smith Cove, Georgetown, and other places of interest. Then return it and just relax for a few days, do nothing, enjoy the sunshine and perhaps an occasional sip of wine. Grocery and liquor stores are within walking distance and you don't need a car every day. Cab rides are priced by zone, not metered by distance. Expect to pay $20-$30 USD per ride (best option for a night out).
