Lovely Location. Moelwyn Cottage is a cosy Welsh miner's cottage in the heart of Snowdonia with lots of character, in an area that offers some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in England and Wales. The cottage has been completely renovated to a very high standard to provide a lovely open plan living space whilst preserving its original character features including exposed stonework, beams and inglenook fireplace. It is situated overlooking the stream on the very edge of the village in a very quiet location with no passing traffic, with lovely views to the front and in the lee of the dramatic Moelwyn mountains. The enclosed front garden is a sun trap, enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine on our wooden companion seat. Or sit over the lane on the communal green space directly beside the...Lovely Location. There are fabulous walks straight from the door and so much to do in the local area including mountain biking and zip wire activities. Tanygrisiau lake, lakeside cafe and the station for the renowned narrow gauge Ffestiniogg steam railway are just 2 minutes walk. There is a pub further up in the village, all day-to-day amenities including supermarket, pubs restaurants and leisure centre with swimming pool are available in nearby Blaenau Ffesiniogg 1.5 miles away. The cottage is in a very central location for exploring some of the most dramatic scenery within Snowdonia, at the same time being just a short drive from the coast and some of the most beautiful beaches of North Wales. - Sleeps 2-4 in two bedrooms - Upstairs bathroom with bath and decent shower over - Unlimited WiFi - King size double in master bedroom that could be two singles if preferred - Full size bunks in second bedroom - Sociable open-plan living space - Dishwasher and microwave, fridge with ice-box - Well appointed kitchen area with gas hob and integrated electric oven/grill - Basic comestibles supplied (coffee, tea, sugar, oil, pepper, salt etc) - Peaceful setting, you can't fail to unwind - Children welcome More

The place has everything you need and in a great location for easy access to walks around the local area and attractions within Snowdonia National Park. We spent a week there with good weather. Blaenau ffestiniog has the local co-op and it's only 5min drive...More

This cottage provides the best of all worlds, it is in a very quiet and peaceful location whilst the amenities of Blaenau Ffestiniog with its bakery, supermarkets, restaurants and pubs are only 1.5 miles away. There is also a pub further up in the village. Explore the Llechwedd Slate caverns for an authentic slate mining experience or hop onto the Ffestiniogg steam railway for a leisurely view of the beautiful scenery. Two new attractions in 2014, the amazing Zip World Titan and Bounce Below - the exciting underground trampolining experience are 1.5 miles away.
