The trip was great my only issue was the extra charge for electricity. I have been using VRBO for years and never encountered this. It should be clear in the rental agreement I only found out when I contacted the owner. Other than that the trip was beautiful and the property owners were wonderful. Would definitely go back

We have traveled throughout the Caribbean, and so ...
We have traveled throughout the Caribbean, and so far, this is our favorite island to visit. It has a mixture of culture, its beach friendly and the best snorkeling we have found without having to book an excursion. We felt safe wherever we went.
Peter and Wilma were incredible hosts, kind, considerate, and shared information about the island with us. The private pool, after visiting the beaches, was amazing!
We visited three beaches, Mambo, Jan Theil, and Blue Bay. All were great, depending on what you are looking for. The best snorkeling was Jan Theil, we even saw an octopus, just around the reef. Blue Bay had so many schools of fish which we didn't expect. Another huge win! Wherever we went, the water was clear, warm, and beautiful. Our VRBO had two beach chairs and a cooler. It was very much appreciated, the beach chairs were awesome, because you could sit up instead of always using the beach lounge that you would rent. All three beaches had an entrance fee and an extra charge for lounge recliners.
We recommend:
Download google translation, was very helpful in the super markets. prices were a bit lower than Aruba which was nice to see.
Take a picture of your entrance to your VRBO, in case the exact address isn't in google maps.
Taking a picture of the electricity/water usage before and after your stay. This would be for any VRBO because of the high costs, there are limitations, ask ahead of time.
Peter had a car available to rent (lucky for us!)

This was our second stay in Wilma's and Peter's li...
This was our second stay in Wilma's and Peter's little paradise. We came specifically to this house because of its two unique features: huge semi-covered patio where we spent all our time outdoors and a totally secluded pool where you can swim naked. Nothing can beat the amazing feeling of complete unwinding from the pressures of our busy lives. We are incredibly grateful for this gift of complete immersion into vacation lazy relaxed mode. Do not forget to buy mosquito spray! We will try very hard to return.

Een kleine 16-dagen een onvergetelijke vakantie genoten in de villa van Peter en Wilma!
Bij aankomst werden we door Peter en Wilma hartverwarmend verwelkomt. Ook gedurende de vakantie staan ze voor vragen altijd klaar.
De villa is buiten van alle luxe gemakken voorzien, zoals de heerlijke ligsofa’s, de sfeervolle buitenverlichting, het buitenmeubilair, het heerlijke zwembad niet te vergeten, waar we overdag, maar ook ’s avonds laat veelvuldig gebruik van hebben gemaakt. De tuin straalt veel Caraïbische sfeer uit door de vele palmbomen, exotische planten en struiken, waardoor je absolute privacy ervaart.
De villa, heeft alles wat men nodig heeft, woon-, slaap- en badkamer zijn heerlijk ruim, woon- en slaapkamer zijn voorzien van airco, een goed bed, en handdoeken zijn ruimschoots aanwezig. Ook de keuken is zeer uitgebreid.
De villa, ligt in een mooie wijk, beschut en volop in het groen. Het huis ligt centraal tov alle uitvalswegen, zoals de vlieghaven, Willemstad, maar ook tov het Jan Thiel-strand, Mambobeach, Kokomobeach, en de minder commerciële bounty-stranden zoals: de Grote en Kleine Knip, Playa Cas Abao, Playa Porto Marie. Ook zit men niet ver van Vreugdenhil (Spar ) waar men de dagelijkse boodschappen kan doen.
Curaçao is een leuk eiland om te vertoeven, alle plekken zijn goed bereikbaar met de auto (huren auto is wel een must), vriendelijke locals, ook de Nederlandse taal op Curaçao is erg prettig. Er heerst een heerlijke relaxte Caraïbische mentaliteit die ons erg aanspreekt.
Wij komen beslist terug !

Bij aankomst de zekerheid dat we ons niet druk hoe...
Bij aankomst de zekerheid dat we ons niet druk hoefden te maken of we het adres zouden vinden want we hadden de auto erbij gehuurd en werden van het vliegveld opgehaald door Peter en Wilma, de verhuurders van de villa. Twee verschrikkelijk aardige mensen die ons onderweg naar de villa al het nodige van Willemstad en het eiland lieten zien en er ook nog het nodige over konden en wilden vertellen Aangekomen bij de villa konden we ons eerst verfrissen en omkleden en daarna werd alle tijd genomen om ons de villa te laten zien en hoe een en ander werkte met verlichting en airconditioning. Samen hebben we de fles bubbels gedronken die al voor ons gekoeld stond in de amerikaanse koelkast met ijsblokje machine en koelwater dispenser. Dat deden we op de fantastische brede porch/veranda met ligbedden en eettafel met uitzicht op ons eigen zwembad welke je s' avonds heel feeëriek kunt verlichten.
Gedurende ons verblijf werd ons absolute privacy gegund en hebben we ons nooit onveilig gevoeld omdat het terrein aan alle kanten is afgesloten, zonder dat het opvalt.
De huur van de auto bleek een gouden greep want die heb je wel nodig op het eiland om naar de binnenstad te rijden, ongeveer 10 minuten, of naar de stranden of een van de mooie baaien om te snorkelen op het eiland. Peter en Wilma kunnen je daarover heel goede informatie geven.
Het is echter ook beslist geen straf om gewoon thuis te blijven om te lezen, boeken zijn aanwezig, en af en toe een duik te nemen in het zwembad of onder de buitendouche te gaan staan om af te koelen.
Koken is ook geen straf want de keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien, behalve een afwasmachine. Maar Peter heeft uitgelegd dat een afwasmachine waar de vaat een of twee dagen in blijft staan geen goed idee is in de tropen in verband met ongedierte dat je dan krijgt.
En samen afwassen, langer als 5 minuten heb je niet nodig, is ook leuk. Slapen doe je heerlijk op een meer dan prima bed, al of niet onder de klamboe, want als je de ramen en deur van de slaapkamer dichthoudt heb je geen last van de muggen.
Al met al hebben we ontzettend genoten en hebben met Peter en Wilma al weer afspraken gemaakt voor 3 weken in november en december van dit jaar.
De villa is een echte aanrader voor een paar of twee paren want de studio die als tweede slaapkamer dient heeft een eigen badkamer en keuken met een eigen ingang. Het enige dat je moet delen is dan het zwembad.

Zeer lekker verblijf gehad en echt aardige en goed...
Zeer lekker verblijf gehad en echt aardige en goede service door de verhuurders en zelfs een auto bij huus kunnen huren dus wat wil een mens op vakantie nog meer 😁rust en heerlijk prive en heerlijk zwembad met een mooie patio

È stata una gran bella vacanza. La casa che abbiamo affittato ci è piaciuta moltissimo! Comoda, elegante,con dei padroni di casa molto disponibili ma anche molto discreti. Il posto è molto tranquillo. Per muoversi sull'isola, consigliamo di affittare una macchina.

We just returned from a magnificent week in Curacao, and what made it truly special was our stay at Peter's and Wilma's cozy private secluded beautiful sanctuary of a house. Every little detail is thought of to make your stay a very comfortable one: nice dishes and cookware, plenty of spices and appliances, an abundance of towels and throws, mosquito net over the bed, comfortable lounging area outside, and the jewel of this guesthouse - a small but wonderful pool area. The location of this house is very convenient, and the hosts were very pleasant to deal with. Thank you very much for a wonderful restful vacation! It was too short!

Peter and Wilma's wonderful home was the perfect place for us to relax, unwind, and unplug for our vacation. It was clean and comfortable, and the outside/pool area was amazing! We spent a lot of time at the villa, and we loved every minute. There were definitely mosquitoes, but Peter and Wilma provided coils to burn, bug spray, and a fan. Those helped a lot! You will have absolute privacy here. We also cooked several meals (and made plenty of rum punch), and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. Peter and Wilma also gave us a lot of recommendations for restaurants, shopping, beaches, and etc. They even helped us when we left one of our prescriptions at home. Thank you so much for everything, Peter and Wilma!
