We can supply an iron and ironing board on request .We have a cot and high chair available on request at a small additional cost . There is plenty of space for coats, bags etc. and racks for boots .A Breakfast is served to you at a time convenient for you from a wide menu choice. . Cereal, Muesli, Fresh Fruit Salad, Yoghurt etc .followed by a Full English Breakfast. Packed lunches are also available on request..The Hollies has ample off road parking and a well lit path leading to the Annexe so you can come and go as you like. we also have safe storage for bikes should you need it . If you are bringing your dog i can provide doggy towels and feeding bowls .You are welcome to use the patio area next to the annexe and our gardens where we have sun chairs for your use.More

We will meet you with the keys for the hollies annexe but please advise if you think you may be running late or earlier than expected! On arrival you can enjoy Homemade cakes, scones or biscuits, teas and coffee so you can put your feet up and relax! We are next door to the annexe and are always on hand should you need us. We are more than happy to help. We have local knowledge and some maps etc available for your use .We have local pubs close by who provide meals and i can always book a meal for you.
In the morning i will serve you Breakfast in the Annexe setting you up for the day ahead! Please feel free to fill a flask or drinks container and Packed Lunches are available, just ask in advance so i can be sure to have what you prefer.

Gilsland is a quiet village on the Northumberland/ Cumbria border an ideal location for visiting Hadrian's Wall with several forts in the village and Birdoswald,Vindolanda, Housesteads and the Sill within easy reach of The Hollies.We are on the Hadrian's Wall cycle route 72 On the Western edge of the stunning Northumberland National Park, close to Hexham, historic Corbridge and The Centre of Britain! Haltwhistle. To the West we have the Lakes and the border city of Carlisle.There are 2 pubs in the village one serving food just two minutes from The Hollies and through the day there is a cafe. There are some lovely walks around the village.
Getting around
Throughout the season the Ad122 Hadrian's wall shuttle bus runs through the village of Greenhead and the 185 bus service takes you through Gilsland and is easy to access from here. If you need the Greenhead Ad122 bus we will run you through to Greenhead,.There are also various baggage services which run offering a pick up and drop off service. We are more than happy to assist you in reaching your bus route.
