Downstairs, bedroom 1 is a double with stone tiled en-suite and the king-sized bedroom 2 has a large en-suite with vaulted ceiling. Opposite Dartmouth, Kingswear is a friendly village with the kind of charm that makes you feel as though you’re really in Devon. Chapel House is close to Kingswear’s two lovely pubs, bistro, village shop, café, steam railway and ferries to the vibrant town of Dartmouth. Kingswear lies right on the South West Coast Path near to Devon’s beautiful Blue Flag beaches. Sorry, no pets are allowed. A short, steep internal staircase makes Chapel House unsuitable for younger children - there is a good handrail for everyone else! Wood Lane is narrow (signposted as 6″6′) and may not be accessible for some cars. Therefore, we recommend approaching by foot from the 20 min drop-off area (approx 25 mtrs from the bottom of Wood Lane - a short but steep hill). Free parking for your car is provided in the nearby Marina car park, a short walk away. You can come and go as you wish. Bed linen is included, bathroom towels are not.More

About the neighbourhood
Dartmouth is a magical, picturesque harbour town hugged by a protective embrace of the surrounding Devon hills in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Dartmouth offers boutique shops and galleries, fantastic pubs, cafés and restaurants, stunning walks, and connections across Devon via steam train, bus, coastal and river cruises. Laze on unspoilt Blue Flag-awarded beaches or explore the river Dart on the ferries and steam train. Kingswear has some of the most beautiful views across the River Dart and benefits from the afternoon and evening sun. Kingswear hosts two excellent pubs, a post office, café, quintessential general store, The Dart Marina and The Royal Dart Yacht Club. A slower pace of life with its own community yet well
Getting around
Walk the Coastal Path, just 300m from Chapel House. The steam train from Kingswear to Paignton along the spectacular English Riviera Geopark coast line, via the picturesque stations at Goodrington and Churston. Why not combine with a visit to Greenway House and Garden, try out the Dartmouth Day Cruise, Round Robin (includes steam train, river boat and bus). The Dartmouth river cruise and Dartmouth-Totnes river cruise are also great ways to explore the river. Brixham is just 25 mins from the shelter at the bottom of Wood Lane. Bus (#18, 18A) to Brixham. Kingswear to Paignton is bus route (#120). From Dartmouth, catch a bus on the local town route (#90), Dartmouth to Totnes (#X64) or Dartmouth to Kingsbridge (#3).
