Lovely relaxing stay in 'the suite' called Avista attached to the main house just outside Crich. Beautiful surroundings and very helpful hosts, thank you!

Perfect accommodation plus generous breakfast. highly recommended. The stay was "Faultless" we could not find one single thing that we didn't like.

This is a lovely little apartment, attached to the main house and with a connecting door. The owners are really friendly and helpful - we needed somewhere to eat on a Friday night and they came up with really useful suggestions. The breakfast was just right - yoghurts, fresh fruit, toast, jam, cereals - everything you need.

In the immediate area you have a choice of many museums, and everywhere there are many remnants of the industrial revolution. Within a short distance are:- The National Tramway Museum, The Cromford Canal, Leawood and Middleton Pumping and Hauling engines, Cromford Mill, Masson Mill, Belper Mill. Then there are the lovely villages of Crich, Matlock Bath, Cromford, Wirksworth and Belper. After that there are several steam railways with 5 miles, or simply hire a rowboat from Belper River Gardens, (take a picnic if you want to enjoy a long slow trip up river).
