Sharon is a Ballymaloe trained cook and has been cooking professionally for nearly twenty years. We also offer cooking classes for weekends or longer. Watersports available in the area include sailing, surfing, kayaking and diving. There is music in the local pubs, local festivals throughout the year including the Ballydehob International Jazz festival on the May bank holiday weekend and many theatre productions in all the towns and villages around.More

About the neighbourhood
Kilcoe is a small peninsula with Kilcoe Castle at the Southernmost end, famous for it's owner and it's colour. And he is not the only one, there are painters, writers sculpters and music moguls too. Bound by two rivers on it's East and West sides one runs in at Roaring Water Pier and the other at Poul Gorm (gaelic for Blue Hole). A small cove with a pebble beach is a ten minute walk. Ballydehob (Beal an dha hab, gaelic for the meeting at the mouth of two rivers) is an old sandboat port, where they used to bring sand ashore from the islands for farming. It is famous for it's twelve arch bridge. A quaint colourful village with equally colourful residents. Most of the pubs have music during the week and there are two bistros, a Gourmet Store with a cafe, a Wholefood/organic store with cafe, ...
