Cottage
The cottage is suitable to be rented by people willing to spend a couple of days by themselves close to nature. We offer a variety of tours main of them are from wildlife and bird photography or birdwatching.
Currently the cottage has two bedrooms, a kitchen and a shared bathroom.
Facilities
The house is equipped with all the needed facilities (oven, freezer, coffee maker, tea jug for hot water, cutlery);
Bed linen is provided;
Two photography hides in the backyard: photo tower (suitable for 4 photographers) and bird hide by a drinking and feeding station (suitable for 3 photographers);
No TV is available but we assume that you would want to experience the long warm days and evening out in the yard and enjoy the sounds of wilderness with no cars;

Perfect Setting for Bird Photography
The cottage is set in a very quiet village within easy reach of the airport. The host, Sergey, collected us in the early hours and took us to the cottage where we waisted no time in photographing birds from the purpose-built tower in the grounds.
Many birds which are rare or scarce in the UK were plentiful including Hawfinch, Common Cuckoo, Ortolan Bunting and of course, Golden Oriole. We were catered for impeccably and had enough time to photograph wildlife in the area and from the nearby photographic hides. Birds included European Rollers and Bee-eaters, Turtle Dove, Wryneck and several other species of woodpecker.
The cottage itself was comfortable with 2 bedrooms, shower and cooking facilities although anyone self-catering would need to take their own provisions as there are no shops in the village.

Great photography hides in the almost uninhabited villages.
Arrival. I was traveling from Constanta in Romania. Unfortunately the border in Negru Voda was closed for not Bulgarian and Romanian citizens as on the Bulgarian side there was not medical staff on this day. So I drove to border to Mangalia (+ 40 kms) where I could cross without any problem. 1 hour waiting time.
Before travel to the Ognyanovo please refill your car in Dobrich or Silistra as the local filing station at Krusari do not inspire the confidence. I have also bought the food for the whole stay at the supermarket in Dobrich. The closest shops at Telerig are not well stocked.About challet. It was clean. The kitchen is well equipped. So you can prepare all kind of meals. There are mosquito nets in the windows. There is no wifi and range of mobiles operators are limited. I was logged in Romanian one. But if you are on the vacation not having internet for 3 - 4 days sometimes could be nice. The car you can park on the street close to the challet without any problem. In the garden there was a table with chairs. You could eat there launches but because of the mosquitos dinner rather not. As I have been informed this year is extremly wet so there is a lot of them. The village is almost uninhibited so the place is very quiet and you can enjoy nature.
Photography hides:
The tower in the garden is great. It is very productive in the morning when the sun is giving the nice light. Afternoon and evening the sun is not so optimal. There was frequently hoopoe, wryneck, great spotted woodpecker, grey headed woodpecker, trush, jay, sombre tit. From the distance not sitting in the perches in the front of hide as usual orioles and hawfinch. In the hide was very sympathetic dormouse. In the nesting box in the front was little scope owl but was not leaving the box during my stay.
Bee eaters hide - bee eaters were active and frequently sitting on the perch. I could take a lot of photos. Unfortunately in this part of the year it is extremly hot so you can sit there for more than 2 -3 hours.
Roller hide - was there once for also 2 - 3 hour because of the heat. The roller sit on the perch for long time so I could take some nice pictures. Also bee eaters were sitting for a while but they have been chase away by rollers.
Both hides are good but the disadvantage of them is the ground inside so you must take care not to make dirty your equipment.
Summary - it is good place to stay for 3 days for birds photography. I have been 4 days which was also OK as in one day the weather was not good. You can use well prepared and productive hides.
