South Coast calm with access to everything
The house was comfortable and well equipped for two couples staying and we managed to get the house next door a well. We were able to celebrate a big occasion in fine style there and spend our days exploring both the north and south coasts. It was lovely to be able to walk to the beach through the local beachside village. Good place to relax for a few days after the National Park KI walk.

Superb location
Just a short walk from beautiful Vivonne Bay beach, we took a morning sunrise walk and enjoyed a bonus of seeing a pod of dolphins swimming. The house was immaculate - clean, quality furnishings and fixtures and appliances. Albert's communications leading up to our stay were much appreciated and detailed. A visit by the local wallabies (and pellets to feed them provided at the house) was a lovely start and end to each day. We do intend on returning one day - but for longer.

Really nice property
Clean, well kept Property. Excellent spot to get away from it all and still close to Flinders Chase. The wallaby reception committee (who show up every night) was joined one evening by a youngish Kangaroo. Short walk to a beautiful beach at Vivonne Bay which is not crowded. The house is very well equipped and two couples would never feel cramped - although it was just my wife and I. KI is great if you need some downtime, and Island Breeze is a keeper!

Pleasantly surprised in paradise
We had a week's stay at Island Breeze. The first thing we noticed as many have reviewed before on how clean and comfortable this holiday rental is. One thing I must add which is only a small negative is that if you have any mobility problems or bad knees its a little awkward climbing up the pathway steps and down the pathway steps from the house to the car. A handrail would be a good option for the owners to erect. The beach at Vivonne Bay is absolutely spectacular, I now know why it was voted best beach in Aust. Many walks on the beach included a view of New Zealand fur seals body surfing the waves.SO COOL.The frequent visits each night from up to 8 wallabies at a time was a real highlight, they are so cute. We felt we got to know them very well. Thanks to the owners for supplying their special food. We also visited many of the local wineries, cafes, and tourist hot spots. the local people so warm and friendly . If you are looking for a relaxing holiday full of beautiful scenery and heaps to do even for the adventurist, I would highly recommend Kangaroo Island.

A home away from home, in a beautiful surrounding.
A really beautiful place, like 8 years ago! The place is peaceful, quiet, clean, well equiped and smart as it was then. It was a great pleasure to be there again.

Great place for family stay in KI
It was amazing that the house was quite good, clean and convenient, I had everything I'd like. It's near Vivionne Bay by few minutes' walking. As we know, water shortage is on island while here the storage with 3 cans was enough for one family for 2-3 days. Open kitchen was great place to make delicious food for my family. Wallabies always came to the house at dawn for food, the owner is very kind providing specific food for us to feed those Wallabies.

Top Class, very comfortable, great location
We stayed at Island Breeze fir two nights in early September with friends from the U.S. the house was spotlessly clean, fully kitted out with modern appointments. We relaxed with wallabies and blue wrens at the door each night. The location allowed us to travel quickly to all major KI attractions, really got 4 days holiday with two night accommodation. Excellent all round experience.

Hidden luxury
The photos advertising this place on the Sealink website (where I found the accommodation) just don't do this retreat justice! Hubby and I were shocked when we walked in the door! Not only is it set up appropriately to accommodate a family on holiday, but everything oozes QUALITY. The little things did certainly not go unnoticed! Our 2yo loooooooved being able to feed the wallabies from the decking (we loved watching him attempt to be "quiet" in his excitement) and as a budding photographer I had some amazing opportunities to take photos either on the property, or within a short walk. In terms of location - it was a perfect spot to base ourselves to travel to the western side of the island - no excessive drives home after hiking through Flinders Chase! Only downside was that we lost all reception (phone, Internet, GPS) about a minute out of Vivonne Bay so we were not able to navigate our way to the accommodation until we ran into some locals who could direct us to the General Store - while the peace and quiet from technology was refreshing, losing the gps was a bit of a bugger. I would recommend that a printable map be included with your booking confirmation, to prepare you incase there is no locals out for a walk! A bit more "landscaping" of the front steps would be appreciated too - some of those steps are a bit big! Lol All in all, we absolutely loved our stay, and would absolutely consider staying there again on our next visit!!!!

Perfect for exploring the Island
The house was perfect in terms of our needs (two couples travelling together) and in terms of location (for visiting the main attractions). Everything seemed to have been thought of - the house was very well equipped and had everything we needed. We loved the wallabies that visited each evening, and walking to the beautiful Vivonne Bay beach which is just around the corner. Kangaroo Island is a perfect holiday destination (so much to see and do - recommend the Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch, sampling local produce at the Sheep diary and the honey farms, and a bit of adventure with Kangaroo Island Outdoor Action in Vivonne Bay, quad biking and sand boarding at the amazing sand dunes at Little Sahara. And Island Breeze is the perfect base.

Kangaroo Island offers rugged and spectacular coastal scenery with the highest coastal cliffs in Australia. Beaches and bays of white sand and crystal clear water abound on Kangaroo Island.
The south coast is a unique part of Kangaroo Island protected by National Parks and Wilderness Reserves created to manage this important natural history area. Featuring the magnificent and mainly pristine coastal scenery, with its high cliffs and rugged Southern Ocean beach frontages of Pennington Bay, Bales Bay, Seal Bay, Vivonne Bay, Hanson Bay and Cape du Couedic. Vivonne Bay and Hanson Bay are considered to be two of Kangaroo Island's most spectacular destinations.
One third of the island is protected and the only remaining piece of vegetation of this type in the world’s cool temperate zone still intact. Because foxes and rabbits were not introduced to Kangaroo Island, this is the only location where visitors can see native bushland the same today as it was 10,000 years ago!
The Kangaroo Island native bushland is unique to the island, with no equivalent elsewhere. Previously sub-tropical, now cool-temperate it has retained the density at all levels of the tropical/sub-tropical rainforests.
