Woodpeckers Cottage sits in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and enjoys views of the sea, open countryside and forest. It sits within the boundaries of Silpho Brow Cottage and has immediate access to bridleways which lead onto forest tracks and footpaths. Whilst set in a tranquil location, Scarborough is only a 20 minute drive and Whitby a 30 minute drive. There are many quiet coastal areas close by such as the cobbled beach at Hayburn Wyke, the steep cliffs of Ravenscar and the beautifully quaint rock pools of Robin Hoods Bay. The cottage is also close to the Moors to Sea cycle route.
The cottage is a part conversion of a stone barn. It has a modern interior with solid oak floors, and a well equipped kitchen. It has near level access and ample parking.

The cottage sits between Scarborough and Whitby in a rural and peaceful location. The surrounding area is beautiful open countryside and forestry with too many footpaths, bridlepaths and forest tracks to list. There are many varied and beautiful beaches, some only a 20 minute drive away, many are dog friendly too. If you love walking, hiking or cycling then the cottage is perfectly situated for you.
The cottage is only a 20 minute drive from Scarborough and 25 minutes from Whitby with its fine restaurants, stunning Abbey and cobbled streets.
Getting around
There is no public transport. A taxi/private hire car costs £15-£20. Once here, if you like walking there is a myriad of paths to keep you occupied.
