The house was designed by its architect owners, and been praised for the combination of contemporary design and traditional character that has won it design awards and publications. Ideally located for surfing and long beach walks, the house is located on the Wild Atlantic Way - the world famous West of Ireland coastal route- which makes Connemara and Achill easily accessible for day trips. Situated 9 miles from the heritage town of Westport - voted Ireland's best place to live - Sea Thrift is less than 4 miles from its second closest town, Louisburgh, which has shops, restaurants, pubs and other facilities. The Old head blue flag beach is only minutes away, with its pier which is great for crab fishing or simply jumping off. The long sandy beach is popular form swimming and sandcastle building!More
