This is an idyllic cottage built in the nineteenth century but fully modernised. It is open plan inside with full mod cons but retaining all its character. It looks out onto a sheltered courtyard where you can sit out in the summer and enjoy a quiet drink .Being on one level with a wide door it is a cottage good for anyone who does not want stairs. The country location makes it ideal for those with a well-behaved dog. The cottage is fully equipped with a dining area which seats at least 6 comfortably and the bedroom has both a king-size and single bed. The kitchens incorporates the usually amenities including microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The sitting area has a wood burning stove and includes the sofa-bed which sleeps two and the TV with free sat and wii. This cottage is situated in rural Lincolnshire. There is no Wifi which suited us down to ground as we wanted to get away from work. The owner John is a nice man and easy going. We will certainly go back there! Highly recommended.

About the neighbourhood
Kirton in Lindsey is a quiet farming town with fascinating nooks and crannies. Go on a walk around the quaint old buildings including St Andrew's Church or visit Kirton Windmill for a coffee and home baked bread.. Explore a little further and you will find the supurb deli and cafe which is Uncle Henry's.There is also the Pink Pig just a few minutes further away with its farm walk and farm shop.Around you is open country-side and you are on a working small holding with views of the countryside in all directions. We are handy for the parachute club at Hibaldstow or motor racing at Blyton.
Getting around
Although cottage is best suited for people with a car there are bus links from Kirton Lindsey to both Scunthorpe and Lincoln and main line railway stations at Scunthorpe and Lincoln. If you are travelling from abroad we are only just under an hour from the ferry terminal in Hull.
