This cottage is situated in a quiet village neighbourhood and is only suitable for those guests wanting a quiet stay. Strictly not suitable for parties.
As this cottage is also part of my home I expect you to respect the furnishings and belongings of the cottage.
We received a very warm welcome to a beautiful cottage in a lovely village. The Old a Forge is tiny but contains everything you could ask for - including a delicious breakfast pack.

About the neighbourhood
A vibrant and convenient small village Boxford is ideally situated to explore the many interesting sights in Suffolk. The village has several local shops including a great coffee shop and many lovely walks straight out of the door. We are well situated for many of the nearby sights such as Lavenham, Flatford and Dedham for John Constable country, the Stour valley, Bury St Edmunds, Long Melford (where Lovejoy was filmed) and many more. Felixstowe on the coast is about 45 mins away.
Getting around
In Suffolk you are better off having a car to visit all the sights there are to see. Without a car you have most amenities in the village to be comfortable and you can always pre order your groceries to arrive on your first day of your stay.
There are buses running from Boxford to Hadleigh and also to Sudbury, our two nearest towns, but service is limited.
