The Granary is the wing of a beautiful old farmhouse on the island of Seil.

Downstairs is an open plan dining kitchen, living room and wet room. The patio doors lead out to a seating area where there is room to sit around the fire pit or have a barbecue in the quiet garden. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one en suite.

There's a Smart television, free wireless internet, a wood-burning stove and a well stocked library. Outside there's a children's play area, barbecue and firepit (please request to have these left out) and table and chairs. On the island there are two pubs that both serve food. It's a great area for walking, canoeing or diving. You can take the famous Seafari or Sea Life boat trips, or take the short ferry to neighbouring islands.

Mull, Iona and Loch Ness are all within a day's drive.

This was a great place to stay. I highly recommend The Granery to other travelers. Beds were comfortable, hot showers and the whole cottage was clean. The owners went above and beyond to help us. Thank you .

A very comfortable stay at the Granary. Clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. Comfortable bedrooms and very good bathroom and downstairs wetroom. Would definitely stay here again.

About the neighbourhood
Oban is renowned for its seafood restaurants and seaside promenade. Also well supplied with supermarkets and all essentials. The Island of Seil has two pubs, which both serve food in season. It's a great area to explore. You can also take the short ferry ride to the neighbouring islands of Luing and Easdale, famous for its history of slate mining.

Railway: Oban: 20.0 km
Ferry: Oban: 20.0 km
Make your way to Oban, Argyll. From there take the road south out of town, the A816. After six miles you will see the sign on the right to the Island of Seil/Atlantic Bridge. Take this road and follow its twists and turns for another few miles. You will cross a distinctive hump-backed bridge. This is the 'Atlantic Bridge'. On your right is the Tigh an Truish pub. Follow the road another three miles. Set back on the left is the Balvicar post office and stores. Continue straight another hundred yards to the cross roads. The Granary is on the left at the crossroads. There is a sign on a tree in the garden.
