Holiday Rental House -
2 Bedrooms , 2 Bathrooms , Sleeps 5
Macerino, Province of Terni, Umbria
Casa La Torre is a holiday house inside an old tower, on various levels, built with pink natural stones. Located in the centre of the ancient village of Macerino, at 700 meters above sea level, it is a perfect place for a period of relaxation and tranquillity in close contact with nature.

After a recent and careful restoration with respect to the original architecture, all the rooms of the house have valuable features, with stone walls in evidence, original wooden beamed ceilings, banisters in wrought iron and medieval windows.

The house is very comfortable and pleasant, the living room with an old fireplace, the large kitchen with modern appliances, the tavern with a large table, two cosy bedrooms, two bathrooms and a terrace-solarium ( 25 sq. meters ) with a breath taking view of the vast forest surrounding Macerino, where it is possi...

About the neighbourhood
Macerino is a small and ancient village, 12 kilometres from Acquasparta and 15 from Spoleto which conserves the medieval charm with its narrow alleys. We can find historical information about Macerino dating to 1093 A.C. . The castle was built with the particular form of extended rectangle and in every angle there was a solid tower. This fort was built for residential purposes. It is immersed in a green vast forest where you can walk, with Macerino as part of Monti Martani Trekking route. There are two neighbourhood Restaurants where they serve authentic Umbrian food, for example truffles, pasta, meat of wild boar, cured pork meats.
