Greenacres holiday cottage is a greener home with its own solar energy water heating system. Originally the family home, this spacious property has been tastefully restored and decorated. In a delightful rural setting, the front garden is enclosed but is almost part of the overall countryside where you can see the sheep, donkey and horses grazing happily. The rear of the property is accessed through a picturesque courtyard. There is an enclosed lawned garden, courtyard and garden furniture. Beautiful scenic area with amazing views, 3 miles from town. Very secure site with owners living on grounds and always available for a chat or advice if you so wish. About the neighbourhood

The Historical town of Ballinrobe lies some 48 km north of Galway, on the N84 road which connects Galway to Castlebar. The town is awaiting a bypass. It is linked to Claremorris by the R331. A bus service running three times a day between Galway and Ballina passes through Ballinrobe and Castlebar. Ballinrobe railway station was opened on 1 November 1892; it closed to passenger traffic on 1 June 1930; and it finally closed altogether on 1 January 1960.[18] Ballinrobe was a branch line from Claremorris.
