Carefully renovated with exposed beams and modern open plan living you will enjoy your stay looking out onto the beck with the water running past. The garden has seating provided so you can relax and make the most out of the tranquil surroundings on offer. Still a fully functioning flour mill you will be able to watch as the owners utilise the neighbouring water to power the twin wheels they need to create their high end local flour. You will be spoilt for choice locally, be sure to visit Lacy’s Caves, five chambers carved out of the sandstone cliff with views of the river. Just a short walk from the village you will find Long Meg and her daughters, a stone circle from the bronze age and one of the finest in the north of England. Other local activities include, Hunsonby outdoor swimming pool open from April- September. There is also a family run equestrian centre just up the road, catering for all levels offering an abundance of activities. Heron Cottage can be booked with The Old Tearoom (UK32945) to accommodate 8 guests. Free WiFi Due to cleaning and maintenance, hot tubs may not be up to temperature on the first night of your stay. Only dogs allowed at the property. Dogs only, 1 welcome. There is an outside garden area for seating and hot tub. Please be aware that due to the cleaning/maintenance and sanitisations of the hot-tub, it is unlikely to be up to its optimal temperature on the first night of arrival however it will be fully usable from arrival and ready fully from the first morning at the property.
