The HopBarn is situated in an isolated and rural location on a family farm. Surrounded by approximately 100 acres of private land 2 miles from the Minster town of Southwell and 8 miles from the historical market town of Newark-on-Trent, The HopBarn provides a quiet and calming environment, but with easy access to a number of popular tourist destinations. Converted from a former Hop Barn, the accommodation block retains many of the original features and has been carefully restored to offer guests a modern and contemporary setting with lots of original character. The HopBarn is an ideal destination for cyclists, walkers, families, small groups and anyone wishing to explore the outside, or are interested in visiting many of the historical places of interest in the East Midlands. The farm land surrounding The HopBarn is currently in the Higher level Stewardship Scheme which is a scheme that enables farmers to undertake environmental land management. As such, the land is managed to encourage more wildlife and to promote flora and fauna. Wide open fields and wooded walks alongside Carr Dyke provide a tranquil setting as well as providing a natural habitat for over 30 different species of birds and other wild animals. As the land is also private, guests can enjoy and experience the pleasure of exploring the land without being infringed by the general public. It's a totally unique experience. More
